SPICY OFFER FROM PASTA KING FOLLOWING 90,000 FREE MEAL DELIVERY
Hot on the heels of a phenomenal 90,000 free school meal giveaway last month, legendary school meal provider, @PastaKingUK, is spicing up school meals for May with a giveaway of its flavoursome Curry Street Kitchen taster boxes. With variety top of kids’ agenda, there are spice levels to suit every tastebud.
Pasta King has been producing hot meals for children and young adults for more than 25 years and this programme underpins their continued commitment to ensuring children enjoy a hot meal for lunch, as research shows that a nutritional lunch can improve academic performance during afternoon classes.
Pasta King CEO Mark Stone is looking forward to helping schools in their quest to feed students at lunchtime with this unique offer and said,
“Everyone is struggling in this unsettling climate and as children returned to school last month we wanted to highlight our commitment to ensuring that children don’t go hungry at lunchtime and that a Pasta King nutritious hot meal can help with academic performance in the middle of the day. Last month we committed to giving away 60,000 free meals and at the end of the project we had actually distributed one and half times that, such was the interest from schools across the country. So this month we have decided to spice things up and offer free taster boxes from our Curry Street Kitchen range.”
Pasta King Street Kitchen curries offer an everyday counter meal solution with tastes that are big on flavour and which have varying spice levels. The authentic, restaurant-quality curries are made with 100% chicken breast and come with free basmati rice and are ready to heat and serve with no additional preparation required in the school kitchen. Pasta King Street Kitchen taster boxes contain Chicken Makhani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma and Vegetable Rogan Josh (spinach and chick pea).
This free curry giveaway is available to schools across England, Scotland and Wales and runs until 28 May.
PASTA KING DELIVERS 30,000 FREE SCHOOL MEALS OF 60,000 TARGET
25th Mar 2021: Following the return to school earlier this month, @PastaKingUK promised to provide 60,000 free school meals to children across England, Scotland and Wales by mid April and already 30,000 of these have been distributed.
Pasta King has been producing hot meals for children and young adults for more than 25 years and this distribution underpins their continued commitment to ensuring children enjoy a hot meal for lunch, as research shows that a nutritional lunch can improve academic performance during afternoon classes.
Pasta King CEO Mark Stone has been impressed with the uptake from schools and said,
“We are absolutely delighted that we are already halfway to distributing 60,000 free school meals to children up and down the country, with a staggering 30,000 free school meals having been distributed in the past fortnight.
“We wanted to ensure that hot meals were quite literally back on the table for children returning to school and we are definitely achieving this. We offered these meals to schools to use as they saw fit, either as part of their free school meals provision, for school clubs or for some other purpose in their local community and the response has been tremendous.”
The 60,000 free meals feature two of Pasta King’s most popular sauces, pomodoro and basilico and are being provided to schools alongside their usual orders for Pasta King sauces, rice and pasta. The scheme is available to schools across England, Scotland and Wales and runs until 2nd April.
Thousands of Children to Benefit from Free Pasta King School Meals
Pasta King has been producing hot meals for children and young adults for more than 25 years and this announcement underpins their continued commitment to ensuring children enjoy a hot meal for lunch, as research shows that a nutritional lunch can improve academic performance during afternoon classes.
Pasta King CEO Mark Stone explains;
“We have seen huge changes in the last year in school meal provision with schools closing, packed lunches being brought in and even meal boxes for use at home, however research shows that the most effective way of feeding children in the middle of the day, to help improve academic performance, is by having a hot meal. We want to ensure that hot meals are quite literally back on the table for children returning to school and so we are offering tens of thousands of free meals to schools.
“They can use these meals to help with their free school meal provision or for school clubs that are still able to meet or for some other purpose within their local communities. We shall leave those decisions up to the schools.”
The 60,000 free meals will be flavoured with Pasta King’s two most popular varieties, pomodoro and basilico and will be provided to schools together with their usual orders for Pasta King sauces, rice and pasta. The scheme is available to all schools across England, Scotland and Wales and will run from 8th March to 2nd April.
