From education to employment

Workpays rated ‘Good’ across the board by Ofsted!

Workpays (@workpays) today announced an overall ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted following a recent inspection in May.

Ofsted’s inspection team assessed six categories, including the quality of education, leadership and management, adult learning programmes, and apprenticeships. Workpays received a ‘Good’ rating in all six categories, with Ofsted specifically noting on the great culture that Workpays have created for learners.

‘We are really proud of this result: this is evidence of the hard work the Workpays family put in day in day out to ensure our learners succeed,’ said Alex Glasner, Co-Managing Director at Workpays. ‘This only strengthens our resolve to give all that we can to support our learners to have the best results both in their classes and in their careers.’

Some of the key observations include:

  • ‘Managers have created a culture in which staff care about their learners and apprentices and support them well.’
  • ‘Tutors enjoy good relationships with their learners, and they continually focus on meeting the needs of each individual.’
  • ‘Staff have a very professional approach and develop a good rapport with learners and apprentices. This, and their use of a range of interesting and engaging lesson activities, leads to a positive climate in lessons.’
  • ‘Learners and apprentices benefit from the good work that staff undertake with a number of stakeholders including employers, the Department for Work and Pensions, Jobcentre Plus and local authorities. Because of this work, staff know what skills, knowledge and behaviours learners really need.’
  • ‘Adult learners improve their social skills and confidence. Apprentices, especially those who are young and new to the workplace, develop their understanding of professional behaviours and etiquette.’

Anne Wright, Co-Managing Director at Workpays, commented, ‘we would like to thank all our tutors, staff, learners, and the whole Workpays community for making Workpays an amazing place to learn. Today and every day we renew our commitment to supporting our learners to excel and I am proud of our teams’ work being recognised.’
