Yorkshire School Goes Super-Sized With Graphics Walls

School has just got a lot more colourful for students at Pudsey Grangefield School, Leeds.

The school’s interior walls have been given a high impact new look with the help of super-sized graphic wall coverings and the inspirational images creating a real wow factor throughout the building. These full colour wall murals have been created by large format printers Digital Plus and the idea is set to catch on.

The Leeds-based firm were called in to give 300 square meters of wall the bespoke treatment, using cleverly adapted artwork to create maximum impact.

Principal at Pudsey Grangfield, Ken Cornforth, said: "It was a bold decision but the images on our new graphics set the scene for learning, and visitors to the school are genuinely impressed when they walk round. They stimulate thought and discussion across all subject areas and feedback from students and teachers indicates the artwork has really improved the school environment."

Super-sized graphics are proving popular with educational establishments as Digital Plus have also created stunning ceiling banners for Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College, Bradford and historical montage hangings for Ralph Thoresby High School, Leeds.

Owen Russell, Director of Digital Plus said: "Large format printing is our speciality and this kind of adaptation for a school interior really plays to our strengths. Students tend to respond to super-sized graphic images and this is a great way to create a talking point and turn a dull space into an inspirational statement."
