Activate Business School and Grant Thornton UK LLP Officially Launch New Leadership Programme
Last night (25 Oct) saw the official launch of the new Activate Business School Leadership Development Programme we are delivering in partnership with leading advisory firm Grant Thornton UK LLP.
Industry leaders from across business and education gathered at Grant Thornton’s offices in Finsbury Square for the launch event and hear more about the innovative new programme and the impact it can have on businesses looking to develop their talent.
The partnership will see Activate Business School, which is part of the Activate Learning group, delivering two programmes, both of which comply with apprenticeship standards:
- Level 3 Diploma Qualification for First-time Managers, and
- Level 5 Diploma Qualification for More Experienced Managers
Activate Business School has drawn on the knowledge and skills of Grant Thornton to help develop a curriculum that is relevant to businesses and develops the skills and attributes they would look for in their managers.
Pablo Lloyd, Chief Executive of Activate Business School, said:
“Grant Thornton’s expertise and our ability to design the programme to each client makes this unique. Both programmes carry a full diploma and the focus on self-awareness gives each participant a personal experience” said Pablo.
He continued: “The programmes are relevant for both those who are new to management and need to develop skills for this new stage of their career, and those who have several years’ experience and are looking for further development. “
For employers the cost of the programme is accessible, with larger employers able to utilise their Apprenticeship Levy to pay while smaller employers can gain a 90% contribution towards the cost through government investment.
Activate Learning, and by extension Activate Business School, aims to transform lives through learning using our award-winning Learning Philosophy, and this ambition sits at the heart of this new programme.
Pablo said: “So often we hear about businesses struggling to recruit and develop effective managers. This programme allows organisations to take the talent they already have and grow their potential.
“Businesses who invest properly in leadership skills improve productivity, growth, innovation and loyalty among employees.”
David Hare, Associate Director of Talent Solutions at Grant Thornton UK LLP, joined Pablo on the night to launch the event.
David said: “This is an exciting partnership combining Grant Thornton’s expertise in business advisory services and finance and Activate Learning’s innovative teaching methods and 15 years’ experience in leadership development.
“This new offering is a win-win opportunity for businesses, allowing them to benefit from the apprenticeship levy while at the same time growing and developing the staff they already have.”
