UNiDAYS partners with Deezer, taking music streaming to the next level for students

UNiDAYS, the world’s largest student affinity network, has today announced a new partnership with Deezer, the global music streaming provider. UNiDAYS has become the main verification provider for Deezer’s student music streaming plan and smart marketing capabilities, spanning multiple international markets.

UNiDAYS Connect offers Single-Sign-On (SSO) capabilities, directly implemented within a partner’s domain, be that desktop, mobile website, and/or in-app. This agreement provides verification for Deezer in 30 different regions globally, supported by awareness and demand generation via the UNiDAYS marketplace.

Through the UNiDAYS Connect solution, new and existing student customers are able to instantly verify their eligibility, and seamlessly access Deezer’s student plan. This helps to improve the user experience, increasing conversion rate and ultimately driving more subscriptions. UNiDAYS Connect enables students to verify once and provides them with a reusable identity they can use to gain access to a variety of brands offering exclusive student incentives within the UNiDAYS network.

As a reminder,  the Deezer student offer gives access to 90M tracks in Hi-Fi quality, thousands of podcasts, personal Mixes and playlists, original contents with no advertising. All the Deezer content is available with no limit, everywhere thanks to the offline mode.

The partnership also includes the implementation of UNiDAYS’ Profile Enrichment API, which leverages consumer-permissioned first-party data to optimise targeted content and CRM, increasing consumer engagement and intent, while ultimately minimising marketing-waste and increasing partner ROI.

Jon Hawley, Chief Identity Officer and Co-Founder of UNiDAYS, states,

We are delighted to be partnering with Deezer to gate their student plan — optimising conversion rate, and growing total program performance through demand gen, underpinned by consumer-permissioned data. The partnership will benefit our core audience, providing students with a compelling online experience and access to a unique benefit.”

Louis-Alexis de Gemini, Chief Marketing Officer at Deezer, states,

To be associated with a brand as closely connected to the student experience as UNiDAYS provides great advantages to our business and customer base. This partnership will drive both brands forward, and help Deezer develop the penetration of its student offer in our key markets. I am thrilled to ease the access to Deezer Premium to students in our key territories and beyond!”
