Department for Education: prompt payment data
The percentage of invoices paid by DfE, its executive agencies and other arms-length bodies within 5 days and within 30 days of receipt.
The data is provided in yearly quarters for each financial year.
Since April 2016 all in-scope organisations are required to publish all interest liable, under the late payment legislation, on a quarterly basis.
The data includes historic performance data for the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) to 31 March 2018. NCTL was an executive agency, sponsored by DfE. It existed from 29 March 2013 to 31 March 2018.
The data includes historic performance data for the Social Work England (SWE) to 31 March 2021. SWE was an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by DfE. It existed from September 2018 to 31 March 2021.

Department for Education (DfE)
Responsible for children’s services and education, including early years, schools, higher and further education policy, apprenticeships and wider skills in England
Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA)
Accountable for funding education and skills for children, young people and adults
Standards and Testing Agency (STA)
Responsible for setting tests to assess children in education from early years to the end of key stage 2. It is also responsible for managing the general qualifications logistics service provided to exam centres and examiners
Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA)
Responsible for the regulation of the teaching profession, including misconduct hearings and the maintenance of the database of qualified teachers
Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE)
An executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by DfE. The institute oversees the development, approval and publication of apprenticeship standards and assessment plans as well as the occupational maps for T Levels and apprenticeships
LocatED
An executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by DfE. LocatED is a government-owned property company, responsible for buying and developing sites in England to help meet the government’s commitment to build new free schools
Office of the Children’s Commissioner (OCC)
Promotes the rights, views and interests of children in policies or decisions affecting their lives. They particularly represent children who are vulnerable or who find it hard to make their views known
