In November 2022, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management will be launching a new, English-language Master in Blockchain & Digital Assets (MSc) degree programme (@fsblockchain). This will make it the first German university to offer a post-experience Master programme focusing on blockchain. The Head of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Centre Professor Philipp Sandner will be the academic director. The Master in Blockchain & Digital Assets degree course is intended for students in full-time employment and aims to provide ambitious professionals with an in-depth, career-boosting grounding in blockchain and digital assets. The programme will be taught over four semesters in a series of one-week blocks in a fully hybrid model. Students can participate from the Frankfurt campus or online. The application deadline is 15 September 2022.

Prospective applicants interested in finding out more about the programme are invited to attend one of Frankfurt School’s monthly Master Info Evening events. The next event is scheduled for 11 January 2022. The full timetable is available here.

Students on the Master programme will learn the principles underlying blockchain technology and how to develop and apply innovative concepts that solve real-world business problems. The curriculum also covers the ethical and legal implications of blockchain technology. For example, the programme demonstrates how blockchain technology can be used to streamline and accelerate government processes, as well as record keeping, audit trails and various forms of monitoring. As well as attending conventional classes, students will be expected to design their own blockchain solutions. They will also have the chance to take part in an excursion to Zurich and Zug to visit one of the world’s best-known crypto-asset and blockchain hubs. The close affiliation with the Frankfurt School Blockchain Centre offers the possibility for further research, study and networking possibilities. www.fs.de/mbda
