Professor Mark Jolly appointed Director of Manufacturing
Professor Mark Jolly has been appointed Director of Manufacturing at Cranfield University. He will take up the post on 1st August 2019.
Professor Jolly joined Cranfield in 2012 as Professor of Sustainable Manufacturing, working closely with clients such as Coca-Cola Enterprises (Europe), Cast Metals Federation (CMF), Depuy-Synthes (J&J), Rolls-Royce, GKN, Tata Steel and St Gobain. Before becoming interim Director of Manufacturing earlier this year, Professor Jolly was head of Cranfield University’s Sustainable Manufacturing Systems Centre.
Professor Helen Atkinson CBE FREng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Aerospace, Transport Systems and Manufacturing) at Cranfield University, said:

Professor Jolly is a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Environmentalist, a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) and a Fellow of the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers. He is currently Co-Director of the EPSRC-funded Centre of Doctoral Training in Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing which is run in collaboration with the Universities of Warwick and Exeter.
He is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Founders and a Freeman of the City of London.
