The Education and Training Foundation begins search for new Chair of the Board
A search is underway for the Education and Training Foundation’s (ETF) new Chair of the Board. The new Chair will succeed Paul Mullins OBE who is stepping down as his term of office comes to an end in the autumn.
The ETF is the government-backed, sector-owned national workforce development body for the Further Education and Training sector.
The ETF’s Chair of the Board is an independent position that plays a key role in the development and maintenance of the ETF’s stakeholder and government relationships.
The Chair of the Board provides leadership and insight to the ETF and its Board with the prime responsibility for ensuring the Board has agreed on priorities, appropriate structures and processes.
The Chair ensures the ETF has a robust strategy and productive culture with the board members and senior staff to govern well and add value.
Paul Mullins, current ETF Chair of the Board, said: “It has been an honour to Chair the board of the ETF since 2013. I encourage applications as I have found my time as Chair constructively challenging and very rewarding.”
The ETF is also recruiting a new Chair of Audit Committee to succeed Steve Freer who is also stepping down in the autumn. This role plays a key role in the governance of the ETF and ensures that the ETF’s Audit Committee’s terms of reference and any other relevant regulations are applied. They will be a full member of the main board that contributes to the development of the ETF.
