The ETF is the government-backed, sector-owned national workforce development body for the Further Education and Training sector.

The ETF’s Chair of the Board is an independent position that plays a key role in the development and maintenance of the ETF’s stakeholder and government relationships.

The Chair ensures the ETF has a robust strategy and productive culture with the board members and senior staff to govern well and add value.

Paul Mullins, current ETF Chair of the Board, said: “It has been an honour to Chair the board of the ETF since 2013. I encourage applications as I have found my time as Chair constructively challenging and very rewarding.”

The ETF is also recruiting a new Chair of Audit Committee to succeed Steve Freer who is also stepping down in the autumn. This role plays a key role in the governance of the ETF and ensures that the ETF’s Audit Committee’s terms of reference and any other relevant regulations are applied. They will be a full member of the main board that contributes to the development of the ETF.
