NEW JOBS DRIVE LAUNCHED BY FE QA SOFTWARE FIRM AS DEMAND RISES

A specialist technology firm is gearing up for expansion in 2017 as it looks to create new jobs on the back of demand for its education quality assurance software for FE providers.

MESMA, which has seen sales grow by more than 25% over the last 12 months and currently has revenues in excess of £100,000, has launched a drive to recruit business development specialists to bolster its team of highly skilled experts.

The move is part of plans by the firm’s directors Carole Loader, Neil Donkin and Louise Doyle to continue to diversify in the face of significant changes to the education sector.

This includes the introduction of new apprenticeship standards and the Apprenticeship Levy, which comes into force next April.

Started in 2013, MESMA software ensures education sector providers are prepared for Ofsted inspections, which can take place at short notice, and can better manage quality issues around things such as apprenticeship delivery.

The subscription-based technology enables leaders to focus more time and resources on teaching and learning provision and less on paperwork, helping them to complete self-assessment reports – a requirement of the Ofsted Common Inspection Framework.

Now, the firm wants to recruit additional sales expertise to help schools, FE colleges and independent training providers improve quality assurance and self-assessment, and develop robust improvement plans to drive change.

This includes securing traction for the new diagnostic and action planning resource Reform, which was launched in November to help organisations better prepare for implementation of apprenticeship changes.

Company director Carole Loader said: “We are seeing strong demand for new Reform and other products so need additional resource to help us move forward in 2017.

“Growth will come as we support apprenticeship providers who need intuitive platforms to help them deal with apprenticeship reforms.

“We are looking to create new posts for talented sales people, who are keen to join a hungry business that will continue to grow over the next few years.”
