Who were the winners at the TES FE Awards 2017?
A great evening was had by all celebrating the most outstanding colleges, training providers and individuals within the FE sector at the TES FE Awards on Friday 24th February at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane.
Overall FE provider of the year was South Tyneside College, who also won FE college of the year.
Below are the list of the winners on the night, but we would also like to congratulate all of those who were finalists, the awards had a record number of entries this year, so being a finalists is an achievement in it’s own right.

Training provider of the year – MPCT
Sixth-form college of the year– Winstanley College
Assessor of the year– Yvonne Evans, Coleg Cambria
Teacher of the year– Judith Larsen, Bedford College (Highly commended: James Tarling, Exeter College)
FE leader of the year– David Jones, Coleg Cambria
Lifetime achievement award– Dr John Graystone
Support for learners– Newcastle College
Contribution to the local community– Manchester Adult Education Service
Best teaching and learning initiative– West Suffolk College
Outstanding use of technology for improving teaching, learning and assessment– Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College
Marketing/communications campaign of the year– Hart Learning and Development (Highly commended: Westminster Kingsway College)
Employer engagement– South Devon College
Professional services team of the year– Peterborough Regional College
Apprenticeship programme of the year– Pendennis Shipyard

Teenage Cancer Trust also raised over £7,000 on the evening, so well done to everyone for being so generous to a really interesting and worthy cause.
