Hawk Training have been supporting individuals and organisations through our well-renowned apprenticeship programmes for over 30 years and continue to do so with great pride and enthusiasm to this very day.

So what is an apprenticeship?

More and more employers are using apprenticeship programmes to build their talent pipeline, upskill their workforce and enhance succession planning.

Hawk Training’s apprenticeship programmes are available for:

  • Existing employees who require upskilling in the workplace to support progression in their role
  • New entrants to the workplace looking for an apprenticeship opportunity, a job that combines an apprenticeship training programme as part of the terms of employment.

Then comes traineeships…

In the past Hawk Training have also delivered traineeship programmes and following recent additional government funding, they’re excited to be re-introducing them as part of their provision, targeted at 19-24-year-olds.

Last but not least, comes the government’s latest kickstart scheme.

The kickstart scheme was introduced to tackle youth unemployment in the wake of the pandemic, which essentially provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16-24 year olds on Universal Credit. 

But what are the main differences between a traineeship and kickstart I hear you say? Well, here’s Hawk Training’s provision breakdown which should shed some light on which scheme is most suitable for your organisation:
