Grant fund for Ufi VocTech Challenge is now open

Ufi VocTech Trust (@UfiTrust), the UK’s leading charity for championing the power of technology to improve skills for work, is now open for applications for its VocTech Challenge Grant Fund, with grants of up to £150,000 available.

This funding call supports the development and deployment of digital solutions that help adults most impacted by the digital divide and furthest away from learning, helping them gain the confidence they need to get skills for work.

The fund has been developed in response to Ufi’s VocTech Challenge Green Paper which found that lack of confidence was a major barrier to vocational learning for those most at risk from economic and digital exclusion. As part of its wider aim to improve the skills of the UK workforce, Ufi is now offering grants for projects that use digital technology to change how vocational learning is developed and delivered.

Grants of between £15,000 up to £150,000 are available to VocTech solutions which can deliver benefits to a large number of learners.

Rebecca Garrod-Waters, Ufi CEO, commented:

“Our VocTech Challenge funding call comes at a vital time. We know that many adult learners face barriers linked to confidence when it comes to gaining the skills they need for work, and at Ufi VocTech Trust we believe in the power of technology to help support those who most need it while helping improve those skills.

“By offering support to projects that address this growing problem and come up with solutions to help adults gain the skills they need to thrive in the workplace, we can continue to work together to address these issues.

“I urge any organisations that are working with learners impacted by the growing digital divide and using tech to improve skills for work to visit our website and find out more about the VocTech Challenge fund.”
