New skills award for employer engagement

The “largest vocational learning provider in the UK” has recently been awarded a regional standard of excellence.

Carter & Carter Group received the emskills quality award for employer engagement.

emskills, the East Midlands quality model, is the regional standard of training provider excellence. The award accredits best practice in meeting the training and support needs of businesses, and is the first to focus on customer service, flexibility of delivery and business outcomes in relation to employers.

Karen Woodward, Regional Director of Skills for LSC East Midlands commented: “It has created a business model that is flexible to the needs of the business and has not adopted a “one size fits all” approach”.

“In order to qualify for the award, Carter & Carter demonstrated that its work with employers not only improved business efficiency, productivity and profitability but also that learners achieved high standards, including qualifications, with good retention”.

Discussing the award, Carole Carson Director of Quality and Measurable Business Improvements for Carter & Carter Group PLC said: “Carter & Carter is delighted to have been awarded the emskills quality mark. It is our intention to continue to raise our standards of leadership and management from within the company, to drive forward continuous improvement”.
