From education to employment

Educators need to be ‘more pirate’ FE Soundbite #467

FE Soundbite 465

Welcome to FE Soundbite Weekly Journal Edition #467

I have gone with Alice Barnard’s title “Educators need to be ‘more pirate’”, as I think we could all do with a bit more ‘Garrr’ in education.

Let’s face it, things need shaking up. As Alice said, Pirates are very resourceful, inclusive, great at team work and pulling together for a common goal and they are used to working in adverse conditions.

In the choppy sea of FE and Apprenticeships, I would personally rather navigate it with someone a bit more ‘Pirate’… but let’s skip all of the robbing and pillaging bit, we’ve had enough of all that thank you!

How was your week? Have you survived half term? This week we have had 10 exclusive articles on FE News. Which was your favourite?

Congrats to Sam Sleight who has had the most read article this week with: What is the Difference Between an Assessor and an End Point Assessor (EPA)?

Have you checked out the interactive map on Learning and Work’s report?: Too many young people missing out on education and employment

Anyway, I hope you enjoy FE Soundbite this week!
