Derby-based AIM Awards, an award winning, national Awarding Organisation announce the release of a suite of innovative new qualifications.

The suite of qualifications provide opportunities for learners to develop skills in vocational areas along with literacy, numeracy, ICT and employability, enabling learners to test out their abilities and personal preferences before selecting a chosen career or technical employment route.  They allow learners to achieve the size and level of qualification most suitable for their needs and relevant to their stage of learning, providing an opportunity to work towards qualifications in small steps. 

These qualifications have been designed to support learners to build on their knowledge and skills to progress onto higher level qualifications, supporting young people and adults to secure skilled employment to meet the needs of the economy. The AIM Awards Suite of Vocational Pathways Qualifications (AIMVOCs) are suitable for learners pre and post 16, who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in a range of vocational areas:

  • Animal Care
  • Administration
  • Business
  • Catering and Hospitality
  • Child Care
  • Construction and Building
  • Creative and Design
  • Customer Service                                                                               
  • Hair and Beauty
  • Horticulture

These qualifications are:

  • aligned with the government’s 15 new technical routes to provide clear progression routes to T-levels and apprenticeships
  • available from Entry 1 through to Level 2 in a range of sizes from Award through to Diploma
  • allow for upward progression through the levels
  • allow for sideways progression from one vocational area to another

AIM Awards is a national Awarding Organisation, offering a large number of regulated qualifications at different levels and in a wide range of subject areas.

The company recently won Qualification of the Year at the Industries Federation of

Awarding Bodies annual awards.

AIM Awards are also on the Government’s register of end-point assessment organisations.
