Capita receives preferred supplier status for Scottish universities and colleges
Capita’s further and higher education business has fought off stiff competition to be recognised as one of the preferred suppliers of management information services for universities and colleges in Scotland.
The announcement follows a robust selection process in which Capita successfully met the criteria set out by Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC) Ltd.
Karen Reece, head of Capita’s further and higher education business, said: “As a well-established supplier of management information solutions in Scotland, we are delighted to have clinched our place on the APUC procurement framework.
“It means that colleges and universities can purchase our products and services – such as the UNIT-e management information system (MIS) – knowing they are working with a trusted supplier that delivers both quality and value for money to both the FE and HE sectors.”
Capita’s products and services are used by 170 further and higher educational establishments across the UK – including the Royal College of Surgeons, Scotland’s Rural College and New College Lanarkshire – to cut administration and maximise funding.
The tools available within the UNIT-e management information system enable institutions to work more effectively to attract and engage students. This underpins their ability to deliver the best possible learning experience and ensure students achieve the qualifications and skills they need to succeed.
