Creative students Show Off in Uxbridge, Pinewood and Notting Hill

Creative Arts students from Uxbridge College showcased their work at end-of-year shows at venues including Notting Hill’s Mau Mau Bar and Pinewood studios.

Fashion, Art & Design, Graphics, Media and Games Design students celebrated their work in the ‘Show Off’ event which included film screenings at the John Barry Theatre at Pinewood, and exhibitions of art, graphic and computer design work, and fashion shows, at Uxbridge Campus.

Students on performing arts courses including Drama, Dance and Music put on the two-week ‘Cutting Edge’ festival at the College’s theatre The Edge, and the live music venue The Mau Mau Bar in Notting Hill’s Portobello Road.

Nicola Holmes, Head of School for Creative Studies and ELT, said: “This was a really successful event and it was great to be showcasing students’ work at some prestigious West London venues as well as on our campuses at Uxbridge and Hayes. The quality of both the creative and technical aspects of the work was excellent, and I have no doubt that many of these students will go on to pursue successful careers, to complete university degrees, or continue to further study at College. I wish them all the best.”

The work was by students on courses at Levels 1-3.
