Crewe Volkswagen Apprentice Technician Will Kinson recommended to Elite Apprenticeship Group.

Crewe Volkswagen Apprentice Technician Will Kinson recommended to Elite Apprenticeship Group.

Will joined Swansway Motor Group as an apprentice in 2020 and has recently completed the second year of his apprenticeship, with a distinction in all areas. As a result of Will’s hard work and determination, he has been nominated by his Volkswagen trainer to be put forward for the elite group of apprentices.

James Keir, Aftersales Manager at Crewe Volkswagen was delighted to hear the news;

“Will has done phenomenally well, the apprenticeship can be very difficult and it’s unheard of for someone to be nominated for the elite apprentice group.  It’s such a big achievement and I am glad to see that the work that Will does in the workshop has been recognised by the team at the National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes. It’s a pleasure to see Will work well with his mentor here at site, you can see how he takes in what he’s taught and applies it to his work. He is a role model to the other apprentices we have at Crewe Volkswagen.”

As for Will, the news still hadn’t sunk in;

“I’m incredibly shocked, the nomination came as a massive surprise to me! The elite group is rarely spoken of, even at the National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes, so I was in disbelief when I found out… I still am. I’ve learnt a lot from my mentor, it’s great to work alongside a Master Technician, as I can see how they work and conduct themselves in the workplace, I’ve learnt a lot and have tried hard to put that learning into practice in my work. It’s really lovely to receive this recognition, even if it will take a bit of time to sink in”.
