Former Itchen College Student Jack West Makes Debut on Voice FM

Jack West

Congratulations to former @ItchenCollege student Jack West, who made his debut as a radio presenter on Voice FM (@voicefmradio) last week! You will be able to tune into Jack’s slot every Friday from 3-5pm by listening live on www.voicefmradio.co.uk or on 103.9FM. A massive 27,090 people tuned in to Jack’s first show, with listeners as far as Canada, Poland and Italy!

Jack, who previously attended Oasis Academy Mayfield, studied Journalism, Drama and Theatre, Media Studies and Acting during his time at Itchen and was also a regular host of Itchen Radio. He then went on to achieve an Upper Second Class Honours (2:1) in Sports Journalism from the University of Brighton!

Speaking on his success, Jack said:

“My time at Itchen Sixth Form College moulded me into the person that I aspire to be today. I would not be anywhere near achieving the things I want to achieve without the guidance of three people in particular: Dave Newman, Rich Stevens and Kate Matthews. With their belief and support in me, I achieved an Upper Second Class Honours in Sport Journalism and I am now putting my degree to good use after bagging a slot on Voice FM. My time on Itchen Radio played a crucial role in all of this as it made me realise that this is what I want to do with my life and played a vital hand in where I am now! Here is to the future!”

You can still catch up and listen to Jack’s show here at: CATCH UP | Voice FM (voicefmradio.co.uk)
