OCN NI ANNOUNCES DEADLINE EXTENSION TO ENTER AWARDS

OPEN COLLEGE NETWORK NI (@OCNNI) has announced that due to high numbers of entries they are extending the nomination deadline to their annual Learning Endeavour Awards to 12 noon on Friday the 2nd April.

OCN NI is an educational charity and awarding body that advances education by developing qualifications for adults and young people throughout NI.

Martin Flynn, CEO of OCN NI said:

“Thank you to everyone that has submitted a nomination so far – we’re delighted to say that it looks like this will be a record-breaking year for entries! The calibre of entries is already extremely high, and we wish all participants the best of luck.”

The judges are selected from a wide range of sectors and this year includes representatives from the Department for Economy, Department of Education, Higher Education and Private sector organisations.  Judging will commence after the deadline closes, culminating in a virtual awards ceremony on 2nd June 2021.

The OCNI NI Learning Endeavour 2021 Award Categories are:

  • Third Sector Learner of the Year
  • Further Education Learner of the Year
  • Schools Learner of the Year
  • Health and Wellbeing Learner of the Year
  • Inspiring Tutor/Teacher of the Year
  • Provider of the Year
  • Advancing Learning Through Innovation

There is still time to nominate someone for one of the prestigious awards, as organisations now have until 12 noon on Friday the 2nd April, before the application process closes.  The awards provide a great opportunity for organisations to promote themselves, celebrate the achievements of learners and end the academic year on a really positive note.
