Hopwood Hall College launches new publication to aid businesses in galvanzing success

Hopwood Hall College

@HopwoodHall College and University Centre has launched a brand new business-facing publication

Business Link is specially designed to develop stronger ties with local employers and aid them in achieving growth.

The first edition details some of the success stories that the college – which has campuses in Middleton and Rochdale – and its current partners have experienced so far in 2021.

It includes a look at businesses that have recruited top calibre new staff, upskilled their current workforce and accessed courses tailored to their industry.

One feature reveals how Chris Clarkson, the Member of Parliament for Heywood and Middleton, turned to the college to train his new Business Administrator Apprentice.

Business Link will be published throughout the year, with the autumn edition unveiled to mark the launch of Hopwood’s new College Strategy.

This outlines the college’s new four-year vision and includes the ambitious aim to be ‘the drivers of economic prosperity’ in Middleton, Rochdale and across Greater Manchester.

In addition, issue one went to press as Hopwood announced its new Director of Employer Partnerships and Adult Skills.

Robert Marshall-Slater – who brings over 20 years of further education experience to the role – is the new point of contact for businesses in the region.

Julia Heap, Principal and CEO of Hopwood Hall College and University Centre, said: “We’re delighted to launch Business Link, which is our way of developing the strong ties that bind the college with local businesses.

“The first issue makes it clear that we are ambitious in what we want to achieve when it comes to driving economic prosperity and are eager for as many industries as possible to join us in this aim.

“I’d like to encourage all employers – large or small, new or established – to read it and learn about all the amazing opportunities that can arise from partnering with Hopwood Hall.”
