Lincolnshire Based Riverside Training Features in Parliamentary Review 2019
LINCOLNSHIRE TRAINING COMPANY FEATURES IN THE PARLIAMENTARY REVIEW 2019
Lincolnshire specialist training company Riverside Training will feature as an example of best practice in the Further Education category of The Parliamentary Review 2019.
Based in Spalding, the company provides a wide range of courses in childcare, education, health and social care, business administration, accountancy, customer service and management.
The Parliamentary Review combines political content with contributions from sector leaders on how they have responded to the challenges they face in their economic environment and political landscape. It aims to raise standards through sharing in-depth insight into best practice to leading UK officials and Riverside Training’s entry, in the education edition, highlights how Director Suzie Bulbeck’s determination and innovative thinking have overcome business hurdles.
The education edition, which is bookended by commentaries of the year in education and Westminster written by Sean Coghlan and Mark D’Arcy the BBC’s education and parliamentary correspondents respectively, is sent to thousands of leading policymakers including MPs, peers at the House of Lords, headteachers, Government agencies, executives and sector company directors, other training organisations and the Department for Education.
Suzie talks about how the previous 12 months have been particularly volatile for Riverside Training. The key content covers the issues which arose when the Government introduced changes to the way apprenticeships are funded and how, facing an uncertain future, she re-evaluated the business model while ensuring she maintained high-quality training provision – the underlying ethos on which the business was founded.
Suzie undertook various steps from expanding the company’s offering – by increasing online short courses and adding to its portfolio of qualifications to include accountancy and digital marketing apprenticeships – to successfully tendering to deliver Skills Support for the Workforce programmes in Lincolnshire. There’s also a case study featuring the company’s ongoing successful training relationship with Spalding Primary School.
“We are delighted to be invited to feature in this year’s The Parliamentary Review,” comments Suzie.
“The organisations featured are selected to show excellence in their arena and act as examples to their fellow peers so we are proud to be able to share our experiences and knowledge with others.
“It is gratifying that Riverside Training has been recognised and our inclusion is a great opportunity to celebrate what we’ve accomplished to date. It is also a tribute to the entire team who work so hard to provide our students with the best possible outcomes.”
Suzie, along with all the other best practice representatives, will attend a reception at the Palace of Westminster to mark the release of The Parliamentary Review 2019 attended by senior politicians past and present and high-profile figures from sport and entertainment. Previous attendees have included Tony Blair, Nick Clegg, Frank Lampard, Michael Gove and Jeremy Vine.
