@PerlegoBooks, the world’s largest online subscription service for educational books, has partnered with digital-first university @Arden_Uni to provide all of its students with free online textbooks and additional reading materials. This partnership will allow Arden’s 12,000 students to access all the reading materials they need to complete their learning.

With so many students unable to attend lectures and access books in libraries globally, Arden’s digital first approach has meant that its students have been able to enjoy a seamless and uninterrupted digital learning experience as we entered lockdown. This latest partnership with Perlego takes this approach one step further by providing unlimited-access to textbooks and further digital reading material.

Students will be able to use Perlego.com, tablet and mobile apps to read any of the 500,000 titles across over 900 subjects available from 3,000 publishers including Bloomsbury, Elsevier and Wiley with no additional cost to them. Their books will also be in the library, and they will never be subject to late fees or waiting times.

Part of the Global University Systems (GUS) network of institutions, known for their comprehensive provision of online learning, Arden University offers access to Degrees, Masters and MBA programmes and more, in both online learning and flexible blended learning modes. With nearly 80% of its students working full or part-time alongside their studies , this additional support solves the challenges of time, space and traditional inflexibility so that students everywhere can benefit from it.

Gauthier Van Malderen, CEO at Perlego, said:

“For Perlego to become the textbook provider for Arden University made sense from the start. The team at Arden believe everyone, everywhere should be able to study and we share this belief. We’re delighted to ensure Arden’s students can access all the material they need and wish them the best of luck in their online studies.”

Jude Wilson, Director of Library Services at Arden University, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Perlego. At Arden University we are specialists in online and blended learning provision and our goal is to make education more accessible. In the Library our aim is to provide 100% of the reading our students will need to be successful in their learning. We were excited to find an e-book partner who appreciates the wider reading element is just as important as the core and that user access restrictions have no place in Higher Education. This is a big step forward for us and is just one of the ways we are supporting our students to succeed.”
