A brand new hairdressing salon has been opened at Barking & Dagenham College’s Rush Green Campus.
Principal & CEO Yvonne Kelly cut the ribbon to officially open the brand-new Headjogs Hair Bar.
The salon has been created to allow students the complete run of a fully commercial outlet. They will cover all aspects of running a business, from providing excellent customer service to cashing up the salon revenue at the end of the day.
Lee Demmel, Curriculum Manager for Hair and Beauty explains: “The Headjogs brand has been established for over 25 years and is well-known within the local area.
“This opportunity will ensure that our students have the all-important real work experience, which you cannot teach in a classroom environment.
“We are very excited and look forward to growing both the hair and beauty commercial outlets at Barking & Dagenham College.”
