Students’ Responses to Learner Dashboards

This year ALT have invited the 2018 winners to present at a series of webinars – to share details of the excellent work, practice or research that led to their award:

Please book to join us for some lunchtime inspiration with two of the 2018 winners Claire McAvinia and Dr Liz Bennett:

Claire McAvinia #VLEIreland Research Project – Highly commended in the Research project of the year Award 2018

Virtual learning environments (VLEs) remain pervasive in higher education institutions (HEIs) including those in Ireland. Since 2008, we have sought to address this as a multi-institutional group of educational developers in Ireland by tracing the adoption and impact of the VLE across Irish higher education.

Dr Liz Bennett – Students’ Responses to Learner Dashboards – Second place in the Research project of the year Award 2018

Dr Liz Bennett’s project investigated Students’ learning responses to receiving dashboard data. The study was funded by a Scoping Award from Society for Research in Higher Education and provides a critical understanding of the emergent field of learning analytics from students’ point of view.

The Project Report is available from the completed research area of the SRHE website:
