David Way from National Apprenticeship Service explains the importance of the WorldSkills competition

FE News catches up with David Way, CBE, chief operating officer of the National Apprenticeship Service. Way discusses the importance of the WorldSkills competition. There are some 150,000 people registered to visit WorldSkills. How the UK progresses in the competition will show that the country is an excellence place for business, according to Way.

Way is also keen to inspire individuals, colleges and providers to want to get involved in future competitions. He emphasises how individual competitors can showcase their skills, the importance of the competition for the UK economy to showcase talent and skills, as well as for individuals and employers to be able to say that they are the best in the UK or the best in the world.
