.@FarehamCollege appoints new Principal and CEO

Andrew Kaye, Principal and CEO of Fareham College

It has been announced that Andrew Kaye has been appointed Principal and CEO of Fareham College, taking over the helm from Nigel Duncan OBE at the end of April, in post for the start of the summer term.

Andrew has served as Deputy Principal of Fareham College since June 2015 and is a key figure in its transformation into being judged Outstanding in 2017 by Ofsted and named best FE College in the Country in 2018 by the TES.

Fareham College is now recognised as being a national exemplar of technical and professional further and higher education and is one of only 20 UK Maths Centres for Excellence and 50 providers in the country able to offer phase one of the T Level programme in 2020.

Andrew said: “I’m very proud to be appointed as Principal and CEO of Fareham College and recognise I have big shoes to fill. Nigel has been an outstanding principal of the college for a number of years and we shall all miss his experience here greatly.

“My drive is to increase the college not only in size but also in financial resilience. This will ensure we can continually offer our students modern working facilities with the very latest equipment, a career-led curriculum and the very best teachers. I want Fareham College to be recognised as a more innovative and entrepreneurial organisation putting our employers and the skills they need to compete globally forefront and with every student leaving us prepared to start their career.

“An example of our ambition will be seen this September when we open our new £4.1m Civil Engineering Training Centre (CETC) which is planned to deliver over one thousand six hundred (1,600) groundwork and civil engineering apprenticeships in the next five years.”
