Be it New Year’s resolutions, undertaking the challenge of Dry January or finally making the most of that gym membership, January is a time when a lot of us look to start bettering ourselves and make a bright start to the next 12 months.

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) pull together events and conferences that look to develop the Further Education and Training Sector and its workforce into one calendar.

Found on the ETF website, the Events Calendar is a shared workforce development year planner for professionals working in FE. The calendar lists events from AoC, Society for Education and Training (SET), Tes, NICEC (National Institute for Careers Education and Counselling) and many more. Events can be searched for in specific date ranges or through search terms e.g. Apprenticeship. Events are added throughout the year to keep the calendar up-to-date and current.

Ann Gravells (@AnnGravells)‏, author of textbooks and resources for the further education & skills sector, tweeted:

“The @E_T_Foundation have a list of upcoming CPD events on their website offered by various providers. It’s great to see these all in one place. If you have an event planned, why not ask them to add it http://www.et-foundation.co.uk/events

During the recent challenges and changes in the sector, the opportunity for professional development is hugely important and constantly needed. As the sector-owned, government funded workforce and professional development body, we strive to support the FE Sector workforce in being even better leaders, teachers, trainers or assessors.

To support this need, our Events Calendar is designed to be the most detailed, up-to-date calendar for the whole sector’s events and conferences to make finding opportunities for self or staff member development easier.

The ETF encourage all FE Sector stakeholders who are hosting events in 2019 and beyond to please email [email protected] if you’d like to add your event to this page.
