From education to employment

£90M Academy Services framework launched by Pagabo

LEADING national framework provider Pagabo has issued a prior information notice (PIN) for its newest services framework, which is designed to help academies across England access a network of suppliers for supporting services.

Joining Pagabo’s existing suite of frameworks, the new offering is valued at £90 million and will cover legal, audit, HR and payroll services. A range of SMEs and sector experts will be appointed to the framework, which will run for an initial two-year period with the option to for up to a further two years.

The framework will be split into nine service-based lots, covering multiple supporting areas for both single and multi-academy trusts.

  • Lot 1 – Legal Services
  • Lot 2 – Internal audit Services
  • Lot 3 – External audit Services
  • Lot 4 – Valuation Services
  • Lot 5 – Data Protection Officer (DPO) Services
  • Lot 6 – Health and Safety Services
  • Lot 7 – HR Services
  • Lot 8 – Payroll Services
  • Lot 9 – HR & Payroll SaaS Solutions

The framework will cover nine regions across England, with up to nine suppliers appointed to each of the geographical sub lots, each with up to three places reserved for SMEs. In support of multi-regional MATs, three of the nine places per region will be for suppliers that cover the whole of England.

Jason Stapley, chief procurement officer at Pagabo and its parent organisation The 55 Group, said:

“The establishment of this new framework into our suite offers the same compliance and value that is making frameworks the preferred route to market and will allow academies across England to procure the specialist services they need to streamline their operations. In turn, this will enable those academies to focus more closely on the provision of education for students, safe in the knowledge the supporting services are high-standard, compliant, best value and fit-for-purpose.

“Collaboration with suppliers is key to upholding the fundamental strength that has been built around frameworks over the past 10 years. Appointing the most suitable suppliers in relation to each lot will help the collective approach for education sector improvement take precedent.”

With aligning expertise, Red Kite Learning Trust (RKLT) will be the contracting authority for the new framework and is also the host for several other Pagabo frameworks.

Pagabo works with more than 480 public sector bodies throughout the UK and has successfully helped its clients procure more than £3.6 billion of works, goods and services projects through its suite of frameworks. This work has also generated more than £5.3 billion in social value for local communities.
