From education to employment

New interactive resource to help deliver diplomas launched at BETT

Secondary school teachers delivering the diploma are set to benefit from a new interactive resource, with the launch of u-xplore interactive, by u-xplore.

Unveiled at the BETT show at London’s Olympia, the software, designed to support the new diploma, will provide students with a better understanding of the business community and enable them to make informed decisions on their future career. The software will feature 360 degree tours, film clips and business profiles of companies including, ITV Yorkshire, Ministry of Sound, Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Glasgow Prestwick Airport.

Andy Pickles, Chief Executive of u-xplore explained: "The product offers the perfect solution of how to tackle the problem of delivering employer engagement throughout education. U-xplore interactive can be viewed as a vast library of relevant material which can be accessed by users to find parts most appropriate for their needs."

Initially the resource will be available to over 100,000 students in secondary schools in England and Scotland, including South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Northumberland, Hull and Ayrshire.

Mr Pickles added: "This can also be used to improve student’s understanding of the career choices open to them and support enterprise learning."
