Newcastle-under-Lyme College to give students warm welcome back

Newcastle-under-Lyme College students are being welcomed back this month with a reminder of the support available to them at its Refreshers’ Fayre.

The annual event will take place at the college’s main campus on Tuesday 13 January, and will be joined by a host of local organisations, including Connexions, driving schools and NHS health advisers.

Students will be provided with free guidance and information on issues such as healthcare, volunteering in the local area and housing, as well as advice on how to manage their studies.

It takes place just before the College’s ‘Be Well Week’, which aims to support learners by giving them practical advice on healthy eating, exercise and giving up smoking, and will take place from 19-23 January.

Lynsey Mellor, Students Events Co-ordinator, said: "At Newcastle College, we aim to provide our students with all the support they need to take control of their lives. The Refreshers’ Fayre is a fantastic way to welcome students back after the festive break and remind them that we are here to help them succeed in all of aspects of their life."
