We have become aware that there is a double-counting issue affecting pupil numbers in reception classes in the published teachers’ pay grant allocations. We apologise for any confusion this has caused.
This issue has not had a substantive effect on the distribution of the grant. Where minor discrepancies have occurred and schools have been allocated funding slightly below the correct level, we will provide further funding to bring them up to their correct allocation. All schools will receive at least the amounts indicated in the published tables and no school will lose out as a result.
Details of this additional funding will be provided shortly.
On 14th September, we published the rates and high level methodology for the teachers’ pay grant for 2018 to 2019 and 2019 to 2020.
