Those working in an information, advice and guidance role have the opportunity to advance their existing qualifications and career prospects by enrolling onto a course with @BarnsleyCollege.

The College has places available on a range of business related courses including the Level 3 and 4 Advice and Guidance NVQ and the Level 6 Careers Guidance and Development NVQ. These courses are delivered entirely in the workplace, meaning students can study around their existing work and family commitments.

These courses are made up of modules which are chosen by the student to best reflect their responsibilities at work. Students are taught by implementing their course work into their everyday job role, enabling them to deliver on their new found knowledge from the very start of their studies.

Abby Holmes, Programme Manager within the Business, Warehousing and Logistics department at Barnsley College, said:

“These courses are suitable for those who undertake advice and guidance activities working directly with clients, disseminating information, advice and guidance. We are committed to developing our students and giving them the best possible chance to succeed in their chosen career, on completion students can progress onto further study or expect to develop further in their job role.”

The OCR Advice and Guidance suite of qualifications provides candidates with high quality, nationally recognised qualifications. They are vocationally-related, credit-based qualifications that relates to national occupational standards and provide valuable opportunities for individuals to develop skills, gain underpinning knowledge and understanding and demonstrate competence in the workplace and provide opportunities for progression to further qualifications and career prospects.
