From education to employment

Imperial College Business School’s Global Online MBA ranks 1st in UK and 3rd globally in QS rankings

Imperial College Business School’s Global Online MBA programme has made its debut as first in the UK in the 2018 QS Distance Online MBA rankings. The programme has also been ranked as the third best distance online MBA in the world.

The annual QS Top MBA rankings assess programmes based on six separate criteria deemed vital for providing students with a high quality educational experience and return on investment. Employability rates of alumni, class experiences and quality of both faculty and teaching are all considered.

The Imperial Global Online MBA also ranked second in the world for the employability rates of its alumni, with 93.2 per cent of respondents identifying Imperial as one of the best schools at preparing its graduates for the workplace.

Professor Francisco Veloso, Dean of Imperial College Business School, said:

“Online learning is becoming an increasingly important part of business education, catering for those who want to balance work, geography and, in some cases, family commitments with the best teaching the world has to offer.

Our success in this ranking reflects the expertise of our Edtech Lab, which has harnessed the latest technology to create a learning experience that allows students to enjoy all the benefits of an online degree, whilst closely interacting with their tutors and fellow students via the online Hub in a way comparable to the very best face-to-face programmes.”

This ranking recognises the steps that Imperial has taken to develop and enhance its Global Online MBA programme experience, and online resources available to all students through the school’s custom-built online learning environment, the Hub. Imperial’s positioning solidifies its reputation as a leading technology-based business school.

Ashley Jones, an alumnus of the Global Online MBA programme said:

“The Imperial Global Online MBA opened my eyes to the broader aspect of working with people and groups. It has definitely helped me to understand group dynamics and how to get the best out of people by understanding their personalities and motivations. The online learning facility, the Hub, provided great resources for my modules and this continued to get better year on year during my time at the Business School.”
