Mediaworks Inspire Pupils to ‘ReDiscover’ Digital in New Lloyds Bank Initiative
On Tuesday 3rd July, we took part in the first ever Lloyds Banking educational programme, The Rediscover Live Project. Selected as part of a cohort of successful North East businesses, Mediaworks supported the project, aimed at local school children aged 11-14 in the region, by providing the students with a background into Digital Marketing.
During the event, students were introduced into the world of digital through a series of interactive presentations discovering how digital impacts core subjects such as Maths and English. This was then followed up with the briefing of the challenge which set the children in groups the task of coming up with their own digital business. The challenge had to include a business proposal, marketing plan and budget, where students used Mediaworks for advice in how they would market their idea in the digital world.
The event was hugely successful by encouraging children to think digital as well as equipping them with the knowledge and awareness of future digital career prospects.
