10th-16th November 2008
COLLEGES WEEK
Nationwide activity recognises the role colleges play in unlocking talent and transforming lives
Colleges Week is led by the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills (DIUS) and the Association of Colleges (AoC) in partnership with others.
- Events will take place in Colleges across the country all week. Specific events include:
- Skills Challenges ranging from single day to week long challenges at colleges throughout the country. The Challenges will help showcase how colleges help unlock talent in individuals and demonstrate the benefits they bring to students and the wider community.
- The Biggest Business Breakfast will take place throughout November with colleges hosting events with local business leaders to listen to their needs and show how colleges can help businesses survive and remain competitive during an economic downturn through bespoke training or skills development.
News announcements from DIUS, the AoC and other partners will be made throughout the week. Pre-briefings on these announcements will be available during w/c 3rd November.
