This week, Oaklands College (@oaklandscollege) have joined in on the National Careers Week 2021 celebrations, with lots of exciting activities for students and prospective students throughout the week. 

Whilst the celebrations run through to the 6th March, Oaklands College will be hosting a wide variety of educational and engaging live webinar and interview sessions to inspire,  educate and inform students determined to achieve their dream career.

However, National Careers Week isn’t just about gaining a job. At Oaklands, students can pursue further and higher education courses to gain the skills and knowledge required to pursue a successful career path. 

From hands-on, practical skills courses in Plumbing, Electrical Installation or Carpentry, to advanced job creating roles in Engineering, Computing & IT – Oaklands’ vision to offer students amazing experiences, with outstanding learning to help them realise their ambitions.

It is the aim of Oaklands College to equip students with the skills and knowledge that they will need to play a productive role in the economy and within their community. All students studying a 16-19 programme (including potential students) will have access to impartial careers information, advice and guidance that encourage students to aspire, make good choices and understand what they need to do in order to reach and realise their chosen career. 

Students enrolled at Oaklands College are provided with year-long access to a dedicated Careers Advice and Guidance team.
This week, the college are hosting a variety of educational activities from 1:1 career advice and free online resources, purposeful and meaningful work experience opportunities, virtual careers fairs, presentations and interview sessions with key careers individuals for all students interested in taking the next steps towards their future.
