Funding for the delivery of T levels Consultation

Overview

This consultation is concerned with how funding will be distributed to providers from the 2020/21 academic year for the delivery of T Levels for 16 to 19 year olds.  It includes indicative funding rates and the related funding policy considerations, and we are seeking views on our proposals.

Information about our proposals can be found alongside each consultation question to help you complete it. However, before you answer the questions, please read the consultation document below as it includes additional information you will need in order to provide a full response.

Why We Are Consulting

The government recognises that the additional taught hours and industry placement requirements for T Levels will mean that they cost more to deliver than current programmes.

Additional funding, rising to £500 million a year, is available to meet these additional costs.  This consultation sets out proposals for distributing this funding effectively between providers, building on the existing 16 to 19 funding arrangements.
