From education to employment

Open Inspiration – Managing Change in FE and Boosting Learner Resilience

With the shake up in the Department of Education, the announcement of the Government’s post 16 Skills plan and the introduction of the new RQF, the need for an agile approach to working in the education sector has never been more apparent.

The Open Inspiration event on Tuesday 22nd November aims to highlight some of the key issues facing us all as we look ahead into 2017.

The morning session is centred on managing change in FE with relation to area review, local flexibilities and the role of labour market intelligence tools in driving curriculum changes.

The afternoon session will be packed with best practice tips of boosting learner resilience and reducing overall retention rates, with guest speakers exploring the benefits of both the use of data and specifically designed mental toughness software tools.

Change is inevitable, but how we manage these changes is up to us.

As well as encouraging open and frank discussions around the real challenges we face, this Open Inspiration event ultimately aims to explore how we can pick the very best tools and practices to benefit from this changeable environment, rather than be overwhelmed by it.
