Progress to Excellence Ltd receives Skills for Care accolade

Top level recognition has once again been given to Progress to Excellence Ltd for its delivery of high quality learning and development in the adult social care sector.

Skills for Care, the government’s strategic body for workforce development in adult social care in England, has awarded the company the accolade of being an endorsed training provider, naming it as a Centre of Excellence.

This endorsement is a mark of quality only given to the best learning and development organisations operating in the adult social care sector and showcases exemplary commitment to learners and to staff development at Progress to Excellence Ltd.

Working with employers, Skills for Care sets the standards and qualifications to equip social care workers with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high quality care to carers and those who use adult care services.

Damian Burdin, Chief Executive at Progress to Excellence Ltd, said: “Being named as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care shows that we have demonstrated exemplary evidence which proves our commitment to our learners and staff development.

“It also indicates to employers that the training we deliver makes a significant difference not only to the learners but also that our training has a direct impact on the lives of service users.”

The endorsement framework was developed following the Cavendish Review, an independent inquiry into how the training of hospital healthcare assistants and social care support workers employed in care homes and people’s own homes could provide care to the highest standard.

The review also embedded a request from employers to have a site where they could easily find high quality training providers, taking away the uncertainty and need to trawl through a minefield of existing providers.

By achieving Skills for Care’s bespoke quality mark, Progress to Excellence Ltd is now part of a clear, uncomplicated and accessible list for employers seeking high quality training providers.
