Sustainability is the avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance.
Sustainability means meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In addition to natural resources, we also need social and economic resources.
Sustainability is a societal goal with three dimensions: the environmental, economic and social dimension. This concept can be used to guide decisions at the global, national and at the individual consumer level.
Sustainability Education is often referred to as Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), which has been defined as: UNESCO, 2014. “Education for Sustainable Development allows every human being to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values necessary to shape a sustainable future.
