How does it differ from professional education?
While professional options specifically prepare for careers needing certification, licences, degrees and beyond, technical education has a broader scope – from basic trade skills to advanced technical roles. All professionals could be considered technical training, but not all technical education leads to licensed or degreed professions.
What are the goals and values?
The goal is to develop a skilled workforce to excel in key industries and roles. It provides talent pipelines for labour demands. The value lies in enabling social mobility, fulfilling employment and economic growth.
