College jingles all the way for charity Christmas Jumper Day

Students and staff at Newbury College (@newburycollege) and University Centre Newbury (UCN) have put on their festive finest to raise money for Save the Children and All Yours, a charity that supports women in our local community who were struggling to afford or access period products.

Beauty students started the fun and frolics earlier in the week with festive fancy dress in the College’s InTuition Salon, while other students and staff joined in on Friday for the national fund raising event.

Progression and Academic Support Leader, Jane Herod, said:

“It is really important that we continue to raise awareness of the issues facing some of our most vulnerable community members and support them, especially during this difficult time.”

The season of goodwill and giving at Newbury College continues throughout December with students and staff also supporting the West Berkshire Foodbank and Newbury Soup Kitchen with donations of much needed supplies.

If you are a member of the Newbury College community, you can donate to many of the good causes being supported through the Student Hub, on-site collection points or newbury-college.ac.uk/charity
