Shipley College in the spotlight for City & Guilds

Shipley College are set to feature in a promotional film for City & Guilds, as an example of an excellent provider of Customer Service courses.

The College began training the staff and volunteers for the Tour De Yorkshire and this has continued into one of their most successful courses, being delivered to over 2000 people.

City & Guilds visited the College to film students and tutors, classroom sessions, the College and surrounding areas.

Sonal Avda, Marketing Manager, City & Guilds, explained that,

“City & Guilds have been working with Shipley College for years, and like all of our providers they do great work in helping adult learners retrain and upskill. We wanted to film this case study to show how Shipley College delivers the Customer Service qualification. We like how they reach out to communities, to volunteer groups and the NHS – it is a unique way to go about delivering the qualification and we wanted to find out more.”

Vicki Robinson, Curriculum Relationship Manager at the College is proud of the achievements, and explained,

“At Shipley College we have now trained over 2000 local people in the City & Guilds Customer Service qualification, helping unemployed people back into work and supporting local businesses to upskill their staff. We are very proud that City & Guilds have singled out our work in this way.”
