Student Loans Company appoints new Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Stephen Campbell has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Student Loans Company.

Stephen Campbell has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Student Loans Company.

He will be responsible for technology strategy and delivery, ensuring that SLC delivers transformational technology solutions for customers and its partners in Government. 

Paula Sussex, CEO at SLC commented, “I am delighted Stephen is joining us at such an important time for SLC. Stephen brings extensive experience of leading complex transformational technology programmes that have successfully drawn upon strategic partnerships and in-house capability to deliver for customers and shareholders.”

The extensive SLC technology estate underpins everything the company delivers and I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the technology function at such an exciting time.

Stephen joins from Aegon where he was Chief Information Officer (Digital Solutions Practice), prior to which he was Chief Operating Officer of Aegon Ireland. He holds a MSc, Business and Information Technology, from the University of Strathclyde.
