CBI at the 2018 Party Conferences

With just over six weeks until Party Conference, CBI confirms conference activity

The House of Commons in recess until 4 September, Westminster update will resume in September.

In the meantime, this year the CBI will be attending the Labour, Conservative and SNP conferences to highlight the value of business in society and to have an open dialogue with government, ultimately helping business to thrive in these times of uncertainty. As well organising meetings with stakeholders, Carolyn Fairbairn, Director-General, Josh Hardie, Deputy Director-General and Matthew Fell, Chief UK Policy Director will be speaking on panels and the CBI will be hosting its own events.

The CBI fringe events, titled ‘Building a global Britain: equipping the UK to win on the world stage’ will look at how government and business can work in partnership to build a more competitive Britain to seize the opportunities on offer and unlock growth and prosperity across the UK.
