Innovative Alliance receive high praise from Ofsted

Innovative Alliance (IA), an adult education provider with a strong presence in the Liverpool City Region, has recently received high praise from Ofsted following their monitoring visit.

Ofsted, who are the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills, visited the training provider for two days in June 2019.

The visit focused around three core themes:

  1. The first related to progress made by leaders and managers with developing and delivering an adult learning provision that has a clearly defined purpose.
  2. The second focused on how well Innovative Alliance ensure that their learners’ experience quality adult education training, which prepares them well for their intended job role, career aim and/or personal goals.
  3. The third theme focused on safeguarding and the arrangements for this important area.

During the visit, the inspectors met with the management team and various team members from Innovative Alliance. They also spoke to employers and learners, as well as observing some classroom delivery.

Within the published report Ofsted have praised Innovative Alliance across all three themes, with some strong comments;

  • “Trainers use their expertise skillfully to plan and deliver sessions that help learners”
  • “The proportion of learners who gain employment is high”
  • “Support for learners is highly effective”
  • “Employers speak highly of how well-prepared learners are for the recruitment process and for the workplace”
  • “Partnerships with employers are highly effective”
  • “Learners feel safe and are safe”

Talking of the monitoring visit, Innovative Alliance CEO Ian Green said;

“We are delighted to have received some amazing comments and feedback from Ofsted. Credit must go to all involved. Results like this are a testament of the hard work of the whole organisation.

“Through our delivery and partnerships, IA is committed to supporting individuals to gain employment. Receiving such positive praise from Ofsted tells us that we are on the right path and that our delivery is meaningful and effective.”

Innovative Alliance offer employer-led training in a range of sectors across the Liverpool City Region. They work in partnership with local employers to identify skills-shortages and then develop bespoke training package to help meet these needs. IA draws on its extensive referral partner network to help support individuals back into work.
