Leicester College to host special online Remembrance Day event

@LeicesterColl will be hosting a unique online broadcast to commemorate Remembrance Day this year. The broadcast on Facebook and YouTube on Wednesday 11 November 2020 from 10.45-11.02am will feature contributions from staff and students across the College, in dedication to all of those who fought and sadly lost their lives in the First World War.

This virtual event will feature poetry readings, stories, prayers and personal accounts to commemorate the occasion, as well as the opportunity for students, or families of students, to contribute their own words to be broadcast during the event.

People can join Leicester College in paying its respects through this virtual ceremony on the Leicester College Facebook (www.facebook.com/leicestercollege/) and YouTube (www.youtube.com/user/leicestercollegeweb) pages from 10.45am on 11 November 2020.

Verity Hancock, Principal and CEO at Leicester College said:

“Whilst 2020 has produced unforeseen changes to physical events, we are, as ever, committed to paying our respects to those of all faiths and none in honour of Remembrance Day. We look forward to providing students and their families with an online platform that will enable them to make their own dedications on this important day.”
