Commenting on the appointment, Institute Director Tony Wilson said:

“Claire was the stand-out candidate to lead our HR research and consulting team, and we’re delighted to welcome her to IES.  She brings a wealth of expertise in areas that matter more than ever to human resource professionals and employers as we come out of this crisis – including on job design, workforce strategy and equality and diversity.  But what also stood out was Claire’s passion for helping organisations to make work better and to continuously improve. I’m really looking forward to working with Claire over the coming years as we continue to grow.”

Claire Campbell said:

“With the world of work undergoing such major change, I am excited to join IES to lead their HR research and consultancy work.  Evidence based practice is so important to HR during these times, and we have a unique opportunity right now to innovate, to trial and to get employees involved to create fairer, healthier workplaces. I am looking forward to working with the talented team and great client base at IES to research and share great practice.”

Claire will take up the post of Director of HR Research and Consulting on 1 September 2021, joining the senior leadership team and working alongside 40 multidisciplinary staff based in Brighton and London.
